Privacy Policy

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and the golf league or course you belong to.

Scoring data. We collect hole-by-hole scores, round information (course, date, playing partners), and attestation records generated during rounds.

Device & usage data. We collect device identifiers, app version, OS version, and general usage analytics (feature usage, error logs) to improve the Services.

Bluetooth proximity. The attestation feature uses Bluetooth to detect nearby devices. We do not store Bluetooth identifiers or location data beyond the attestation event itself.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and improve the Attest Services
• Record, verify, and display scoring results to you and your league administrators
• Send transactional notifications (round completion, attestation requests, results)
• Respond to support inquiries
• Diagnose technical issues and improve performance

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

With your league. Verified scores and your display name are shared with the league administrator of any league you participate in. This is core to the product.

With playing partners. During a round, your first name and score are visible to your designated playing partners for attestation purposes.

Service providers. We use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and push notifications. These providers access data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Attest users.

We retain your account and scoring data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@attest.golf. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Attestation records are cryptographically linked to the devices of the attesting parties. No system is 100% secure — we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

Attest is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@attest.golf.

How you opt in.When you tap a personalized claim link emailed by your league administrator (https://attest.golf/invite/{code}), the Attest app opens to a verification screen. You select your name from the league roster, check a box consenting to receive a one-time SMS verification code from Attest, and tap “Send Code.” The button is disabled until the consent box is checked.

What we send. One transactional SMS containing a numeric verification code, sent only after you affirmatively opt in. Message frequency: one-time per opt-in. We do not send marketing or recurring SMS.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt out & help. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of future SMS from Attest. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@attest.golf.

Carrier disclaimer. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile information (phone numbers and consent records) is collected solely to deliver the verification code and is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
